EU funds under direct management are made up of funds covering specific EU policies, managed centrally by the European Commission. This means that the Commission directly calls for proposals and takes care of the evaluation and monitoring of their implementation, so that funding is guaranteed for these proposals regardless of whether or not EU funding is received.
Nearly €95.5 billion is available under the Horizon Europe programme, which is open to Hungary. The main areas covered are: research and development, health, culture and creativity, inclusive societies, digitalisation, industrial challenges, space, climate change, energy efficiency, food security, food industry, etc.
LIFE is the EU Environment and Climate Change Programme. For the period 2021-2027, a total of EUR 5.43 billion is available for the implementation of energy efficiency and sustainability projects, plans and concepts, among others, for which Planet Energy Hungary Kft.
The border regions of Hungary's neighbouring countries also have significant development potential under the INTERREG programme. The programme will also support major energy efficiency, tourism, education and training, health, as well as major events and activities.
A further advantage of these applications is that the available funding intensity can be up to 95%, with a minimum of 60%!
